Nesquehoning police reported of four borough residents involved in a gun possession incident.

Police listed the suspects as follows: John L. Souders, 57, of Apt. 2, Susan V. Karley, 47, same address; Harold Allen, 45, of Apt. 8; and Timothy Snyder, 43, of Apt. 4, all at 127 W. Catawissa St.Police said on March 1 Chief Sean Smith received a complaint from a member of the Sokal Club that a male who frequents the bar, later identified as Souders, was carrying a loaded firearm on his hip in an open carry capacity and a concealed badge. It was further alleged that Souders is a convicted felon and not allowed to possess a firearm.Smith made a records check and learned that Souders has a felony conviction in Florida and does not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon.Souders was located by officer Dane O'Brien along Locust St. on March 30 and found to be carrying a gun. He was taken into custody and the firearm seized. It was identified as a Hi-Point 9mm pistol.While being interviewed at the police station Souders said he did not now his Florida conviction was a felony. He also admitted having other firearms in his apartment. Police went to the apartment and seized an additional nine firearms and ammunition. He was charged with possession of a firearm prohibited and firearm ownership-duty of other persons.Karley, identified as Souders' wife, was asked to come to the station concerning the other weapons in the apartment. Karley was advised why Souders was being arrested and told of other firearms in the apartment. Karley admitted she had moved the firearms. The firearms were found in a closet also with archery equipment.Karley told police that she was told by two neighbors, identified as Allen and Snyder, to move the other weapons in the home so police don't taken them.Karley was charged with criminal conspiracy and tamper with/fabricate physical evidence.Both Allen and Snyder were interviewed and admitted advising Karley to move the firearms and assisting her to moving the items.Allen and Snyder were each charged with criminal conspiracy and tamper with/fabricate physical evidence.
