A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 2:39 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, in the area of 1500 S. Altamont Blvd., in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said Dakota Boyer, 20, of Wiconisco, was found in his vehicle which was disabled on the road. He showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.Troopers added that Boyer and a female passenger were transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for medical treatment. The DUI charge is pending, troopers said.
