Bruce Eck, 28, and Margaret Getter, 32, of 365 W. Water St., Lansford, face charges from an incident which took place on Nov. 9, 2012. They are charged with defrauding secured creditors.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:On Oct. 10, 2012, Constable David Sheats served an order of execution on the couple for a list of items levied upon sale to satisfy a judgment against them. The sale was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Nov. 9, 2012.Among the items was a 50-inch television.On the day of the sale, Sheats, along with the victim, David Kasperzak, arrived at the couple's house for the sale, but no one was home. Sheats and Kasperzak peered through a window and saw that the television was gone.On May 15, Police Chief John Turcmanovich interviewed Eck. Eck said he had been at work at the time and that Getter was sick and had possibly been at the doctor's office. Eck asked to come to the police station the next day with Getter to be interviewed and provide statements.The couple never showed up.
