Courtney Lazar, daughter of Mark and Helene Lazar of Summit Hill, had been named to the dean's list at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Pa.

Her six-year program is in pharmacy.Courtney is a 2012 graduate of Panther Valley High School where she was named president of the National Honor Society, valedictorian of her class, battalion commander of the

J.R.O.T.C. program for two years and was a member of the Panther Valley band for seven years.She is currently a member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, which is a national service co-ed fraternity for college students. It is dedicated to fellowship, leadership and community service.
