State police at the Fern Ridge said multiple occupants of two vehicles were transported to the hospital for evaluations after an accident at 4:50 p.m. June 22, on SR209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Police said the accident happened when a 2001 Saturn station wagon driven by Dymitri St. Hilaire, 16, of Pocono Summit, failed to stop in time while traveling south and struck the rear of a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban operated by Sarina Vasquez, 41, of Effort.Police said St. Hilaire and two passengers, Melissa St. Hillaire, 41, and Cyena Snell, 3, both also of Pocono Summit, as well as Vasquez and five passengers, Olga Celi, 64, of East Stroudsburg, and Luis Vasquez Jr., 16, Savana Vasquez, 15, and Arraina Vasquez, 13, all also of Effort, were identified as the occupants of the vehicles.
