State police at the Fern Ridge are investigating a theft by unlawful taking case in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Police said the victim is Julio Cesar Berenguer.Police said between noon May 10 and noon June 10 someone took 34 cartons of cigarettes from Kim's Tobacco barn in the township.Police said the items "gone missing over a period of one month" have a value of $3,500.
