Two persons were injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 9:47 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, along SR61 in Blythe Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Paige M. Marion, 19, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 2007 Saturn Ion northbound and negotiating a curve when, for unknown reasons, she veered onto the shoulder. She attempted to steer back onto the road but her vehicle spun 100 degrees clockwise while sliding across both northbound lanes and onto the right shoulder.The front bumper of the car impacted with the guide rail. It then spun an additional 80 degrees and its left side impacted with the guide rail.Troopers said Marion struck her head during the crash and was disoriented. She was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, by Saint Clair ambulance for treatment. A passenger, Larissa Hanlon, 17, of Mahanoy City, complained to head pain and was also taken to the same hospital.Troopers cited Marion for driving on roadways laned for traffic. The car was towed from the scene.
