A Tamaqua man and woman were cited following an altercation in the unit block of Pine Street on June 6.

Justin Adam Gray, 21, and Shai Lynn Gray, 18, both of 126 Clay St., allegedly started a fight with Stephanie Harris, 20, and Martin Potter, 24, both of Tamaqua, shortly after midnight on that date.The victims told police they were jumped by two people, who had been in a brown minivan, while in the area of 18 Pine St. Officers located the van, which was still parked on Pine Street, and identified the suspects as the Grays after interviewing numerous people in the area.Harris suffered injuries to her elbow and lower leg, as well as taser probe marks (the taser was deployed by Shai Lynn ) on her stomach. Potter suffered fractured facial bones. Both were transported to St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, where they were treated and released.Justin was charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. Shai Lynn was charged with illegal use of an electronic incapacitation device, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
