Bible school

St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will host the ecumenical Vacation Bible School this week, at the church, from 6-8:30 p.m. The theme this year is "Tell It on the Mountain Where Jesus Christ is Lord."The program is open to all ages and denominations of the community, preschool through sixth grade. The closing program will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at the church, at which time there will be a slide presentation and the children will present what they learned for the week.You do not have to preregister your children. There will be Bible stories, crafts, music, snacks and much more. Melanie Schafer is the coordinator of this year's program.
