Mahoning Township police have charged a New Ringgold motorcyclist with driving while under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.

Police said on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. a motorcycle was stopped for improper passing on SR443 by the Carbon Plaza Mall.The driver, Mark Brensinger, 26, was found to be under the influence of alcohol, allege police.Police report that a blood test showed a BAC of .21 percent alcohol.Brensinger has been charged with DUI, careless driving, overtaking on the left, and protective equipment (failed to wear eye protection). A preliminary hearing has been set for July 3 at the office of District Judge Edward Lewis in Jim Thorpe.
