Plans for construction of Carbon County's proposed area technical school and the special education program for the county for the 1964-65 school term were the two major items brought before the county school directors' meeting last evening in Jim Thorpe.

The technical school will be constructed on a 65.9 acre tract of land in Jim Thorpe, near the Jim Thorpe Mausoleum.The estimated cost of the school is $875,000, with 59,000 feet of floor space.
