A McAdoo resident has been cited after allegedly jerry rigging a propane tank hook up at 21 S. Kennedy Dr.

On Sept. 15, 2012, Valley Propane employees placed a lock on the tank at that address. In March the new tenant, Jaymz Hawkins, contacted the propane company to request a cost estimate, which was given. When Hawkins didn't call back the company went to retrieve the tank on May 31.At that time the employee discovered the lock had been removed and the tank, which was almost empty, was hooked up to the house. The value of the missing propane and the hook up fee was estimated at $100.Hawkins was cited for theft and receiving stolen property.
