A Slatington driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Mark Charles Erkinger, 33, was stopped while driving eastbound on SR248, in the area of State Road, in Franklin Township, about 2:16 a.m. on Saturday, June 15.He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest, troopers said.
