Four arrested for drugs at race track

Four Monroe County residents were arrested following the NASCAR race at the Pocono International Raceway in Long Pond on Sunday, after being found in possession of a large quantity of drugs and cash.

State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred about 6 p.m. at Long Pond Road and SR115 in Tunkhannnock Township. Troopers stopped a vehicle whose driver attempted to make a right turn against an established traffic pattern leaving a party at the raceway.A uniformed trooper approached the vehicle to inform the driver, identified as Laquan Darrell Allison-Brown, 23, of Stroudsburg, that he could not travel in the direction intended. Drug paraphernalia was immediately observed by the trooper.A search of the vehicle was conducted. When the search began passengers Erik Charles Funk, 23, and Samantha Leigh Poalillo, 19, both of Cresco, attempted to hide packets of heroin in Poalillo's pants in full view of others.A bag found next to passenger Callie Lauren Godfrey, 20, of Stroudsburg, was found and it contained 500 bags of heroin. Also, a large sum of cash was found inside the vehicle.All four were placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and related drug offenses.The four were arraigned before a district judge and all were committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post bail.
