The investigation is continuing in the death last Thursday of a Mahoning Township man.

Police were called to the residence of Robert Evert, 51, of 286-84 Lower Nis Hollow Drive, where Evert was found dead.Audie Mertz, officer in charge of the Mahoning Township Police Department, said when they responded they were unable to make contact with anyone. As a result, police forced entry to the home where they found Evert. An autopsy was performed on Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital and police are awaiting results.Mertz said at this point, there is no ruling on the cause. "It is an unclassified death investigation," he said.According to Mertz, the call that took place from the Evert residence was made by Trisha Andrews, 33, who is originally from Lehighton but has also been known to live in Allentown.Mertz said the call was made to the Schuylkill County 9-1-1 Center from the cell phone of Andrews.A vehicle owned by Evert, a 2006 Dodge Caravan, was initially listed as missing. It was located last night, abandoned in the parking lot of Maggie's Kitchen diner along Route 443 in West Penn Township.Police are attempting to locate Andrews for questioning in the investigation."We'd just like to bring her in and interview her," said Mertz.Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Andrews should call Mahoning Township Police at (570) 386-2241.
