Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Yuhas of Jim Thorpe recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 1, 1963 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe, by the late Rev. Francis Adolf.Mrs. Yuhas is the former Carol Hawk, daughter of the late Ruth and Nathan Hawk of Jim Thorpe. She was employed by the former Lehigh Valley Dairy, Lehighton, before retiring.Mr. Yuhas is a son of the late Bertha and Stephen Yuhas of Jim Thorpe. A U.S. Navy veteran, he is retired from Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown.The couple belongs to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe.Mr. and Mrs. Yuhas are the parents of a son, Stephen IV, married to the former Rashunda Taylor, of Jim Thorpe, and a daughter, Jennifer, wife of Thomas Knowlton of Virginia Beach, Va. They have five grandchildren, Hailey and Cameron Knowlton and Mackenzie, Stephen V and Brooklyn Yuhas.They plan to celebrate their anniversary at a dinner with family and friends.
