Break-in, theft incidents probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a burglary, theft and criminal mischief incidents.

The break-in occurred at the residence of Gary Keith Anthony, 51, at 160 Lovitt Rd., in Lehighton, Towamensing Township. Entry was made to the residence sometime between 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Friday, June 7.Removed from the home was numerous old coins and currency from a safe. Another safe was also entered but nothing was taken.Terry Reiner, of 241 Silver Spring Blvd., Kunkletown, Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed a chainsaw and hammer from his home. The theft occurred sometime between May 31 and June 2.Jill M. Kuc, of 315 Mountain View Drive, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, reported that she notice jewelry was missing from her home over a period of time. Missing are gold diamond necklaces and gold bracelets and other jewelry. The incident was reported on June 2.Two acts of criminal mischief is being probed.Ty Alexander Verwey, 18, of 173 High Point Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone damaged two windows on his 1987 Ford van and also broke the right rear taillight cover and dented the right fender while parked at his residence. The incident was reported at 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 8.Robert Frederick Richards, 58, of 635 Forest Inn Rd., Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported someone damaged the front door of his residence by putting scratches in it. The incident occurred sometime between 4:15 and 5:45 p.m. on June 5.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
