The driver of an apparent stolen vehicle is being sought following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, in the area of 8365 Interchange Road (SR209), in Towamensing Township.Troopers said a 2001 GMC Sierra was driven onto the roadway and in front of a 1996 Ford Taurus driven northbound by Jason A. Lutz, 33, of Saylorsburg.The driver of the GMC jumped out of the passenger side just prior to impact and fled the scene on foot.Lutz attempted to avoid a collision but struck the front driver's side of the GMC in the southbound lane.Troopers ask anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call them at (610) 377-4270.
