SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS Thousands of items were given away recently during the Tamaqua Volunteer group's monthly community giveaway event. Volunteers stressed their appreciation to all who dropped items off. A special thank you was also given to Thorn Cycle's, M and M Self Storage and the Moyer family for their support. The next giveaway is scheduled for Saturday, June 29. Drop-off will take place from 8-9 a.m, and giveaway will begin at 9:15 a.m. The event is open to all residents with a 18252 zip code, no matter their income.
