The cicadas have arrived

The residents of Beltzville Lake Estates have been inundated with the arrival of the cicadas. At first, tiny holes began to appear on lawns and lowwooded areas. As days went by, exoskeletons started appearing on what seemedto be every tree, plant and walkway. According to many residents, the sounds from the cicadas are deafening from dawn to dusk. The insects, along with their locust cousins, reek havoc with vegetation and their deafening mating sounds is not music to the ears of local residents. Fortunately, they only appear in massive numbers every 17 years. For now, residents turn up the volume on their TV's and other sound devices just a littlehigher to drown out these annoying little visitors!
