Lehighton arrests

Lehighton police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

Police said Christopher J. George, 34, of 220 Carbon St., Lehighton, was cited for theft of services from the borough. Police said during the period of April 12 to 24, he received electric service from the borough illegally. He was also cited for harassment following telephone calls of a threatening nature he made to the borough light and power department after his electrical service as disconnected on April 24.Robert Hunsicker, 65, of 433 N. Fifth St., Lehighton, was cited for public drunkenness. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 16, about 7:35 p.m. in the 400 block of N. Fifth St.Roger D. Bartholomew, 60, of 219 1/2 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, was cited for public drunkenness. The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 22, about 6:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the trestle along the edge of the Lehigh River.James Simmons, 21, of 460 N. First St., Lehighton, was cited for disorderly conduct as the result of a noise complaint while hosting a party at his residence. The incident occurred on Thursday, May 23, at 1 a.m.Eric Cardone, 33, of 228 N. Second St., Lehighton, was cited on Thursday, May 23, for violation of borough ordinance 187-2 signs -unlawful for any person to post or hang upon any utility pole, light post, sign or sign post owned by the borough or any other public utility or entity, any sign, banner, poster, etc., regardless of the method of attachment.Several teens were also cited.A 14-year-old Lehighton male was cited for criminal mischief after causing damage to a residential property at S. Seventh St. The incident occurred on Friday, May 3, about 2:30 p.m.Two male teens, ages 15 and 14 from Lehighton, were cited for retail theft following an incident at the Rite Aid pharmacy. The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 8, at 3:40 p.m.A 10-year-old male from Lehighton was cited for harassment which resulted in physical contact with the victim. The incident occurred on Monday, May 27, about 6:45 p.m. at the borough pool.
