Blue Mountain Health System and the Palmerton Lions Club will co-sponsor a community health fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 8, on the main floor and cafeteria at the Palmerton Hospital Campus of BMHS at 135 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.

Free screenings will be offered, including (fasting) cholesterol and blood glucose, pulmonary function, blood pressure, depression and anxiety, and body fat measurements.A limited number of EKGs will be offered by appointment only. Representatives from Blue Mountain Health System and various agencies and organizations from Carbon County will provide information and education on a variety of health and wellness topics and services.Gift certificates, donated by Bob's Flower Shop, Simply Something Café, Shea's Hardware, Palmerton Auto Parts and Spillane's will be awarded at various intervals throughout the morning (you must be present to win).A homemade light lunch and refreshments will be served courtesy of the Palmerton Lions Club.The fair is free to attend.
