Plaque unveiling

Northern Lehigh Future Focus will dedicate the Gateway Improvement Project on the North side of the Slatington Trailhead with a ceremony on Tuesday, June 4, beginning at 10 a.m. The dedication will be held rain or shine.In addition, a memorial plaque honoring longtime future focus treasurer Les Glanz will be unveiled.The Gateway Improvement Project consisted of a new "Welcome to Slatington" sign, slate planter, flowers for the planter, sidewalk and crosswalk improvements where the D&L Trail crosses Main Street, drainage and landscaping improvements and lighting.The project was funded by Lehigh County, The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, the Lehigh Valley Chamber Foundation and Northern Lehigh Future Focus, and in-kind services from the Slatington Borough crew and the Slatington Woman's Club.
