Two young men were taken to the hospital after crashing into a pole and overturning their vehicle around 8:40 Friday night on the No. 9 hill (US209) in Lansford. The driver of the vehicle, a 2003 Nissan 350Z, was Erick Trabal, 23, of Coaldale. The passenger was Zacahary Zedalis, 23, of Lansford. US 209 was shut down for approximately an hour between Dock Street and Parkway while the vehicle was removed and scene cleared. Patrolman Jason Helmer is the investigating officer.
