A Tamaqua woman was among seven defendants who received hearings before Judge John E. Domalakes in Schuylkill County court from summary convictions by magisterial district judges. Domalakes handed down rulings as follows:

Judith Vacula, 42, Rear 320 E. Broad St., lost her appeal as the judge found her guilty of parking her vehicle in a traffic lane at the Walmart parking lot in Rush Township and the fine and costs imposed by a district judge stands consisitng of a $50 fine plus $59 in costs.Vaughn Vesay Jr., 29, of 117 Coal St., Cumbola, Blythe Township, when it came time for his hearing, he withdrew the appeal and entered a guilty plea to driving while his license was suspended. Domalakes fined him $200 plus $50 costs. Vesay was cited by Trooper Robert Oakley,Jr. when stopped last Jan. 8 on SR61 in North Manheim Township.Michael J. Lyons II, 30, of 101 E. Grant St., McAdoo, lost his appeal as the court found him guilty of driving while his license was suspended.Domalakes placed him in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP) to serve 60 days under home confinement with electronic monitoring and pay a fine of $500 imposed by the district judge and court costs. Lyons was cited by Kline Township Patrolman James A. Patterson.Ronald Weiss, North Manheim Township, lost his appeal as the court found him guilty and sentenced him to pay a fine of $1,000 and costs and serve a flat sentence of 30 days in the county prison with the sentence to begin Friday, May 31, at 9:30 a.m. Weiss was cited by Pottsville police.Robert Klipola, 39, Schuylkill Haven, was found not guilty of a charge of failure to notify police following an an accident but was found guilty of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic. Domalakes imposed a fine of $25 plus $50 costs. Klipola was stopped on Fair Road in BlytheTownship.Robert J. O'Donnell, 58, Fountain St., Butler Township, lost his appeal as the court found him guilty of failing to obey a traffic signal and failing to activate turn signals when required. He was ordered to pay the fines and costs imposed by the district judge consisting of $60 in fines plus $148 in court costs. O'Donnell was cited by Butler Township police last Nov. 11 on SR61.Justine Keiser, 38, Pine Grove, lost his appeal and was found guilty of failing to obey a traffic signal on Center Street in Pine Grove last Dec. 11. Domalakes imposed a fine of $25 plus $50 costs.
