A Monroe County driver is facing driving under the influence (DUI) charge.

State police at Fern Ridge said John K. Peters, 43, of Kunkletown, was stopped along SR209 at Shaffer Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, about 9:15 p.m. on May 7 for a traffic violation. He showed signs of intoxication. He submitted to a test, troopers said, with the DUI charge pending.
