The Tamaqua Community Art Center has announced an Artist Meet and Greet with Mr. Len Usalis on Thursday, May 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. Mr. Usalis has a passion for building and collecting miniature hobby items. He began designing and handcrafting Victorian Doll houses back 1996. He notes that Doll houses are not just for young girls and women. He enjoys building log cabins and other house variations as well. Paying close attention to detail is part of the artists creativity in building the homes as he uses molded tongue and groove pine clapboard siding, fancy silk screened windows along with hardwood floors and working front doors.
