Ten area residents among 28 arraigned by district attorney

Ten area residents were among 28 who were arraigned in the Schuylkill County Courthouse Monday before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon on criminal charges filed against them and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested trial by jury. They were:

Edward M. Matalavage, 36, of 167 Archery Club Road, New Ringgold, charged by Rush Township Patrolman Adam Sinton, with four counts of altering license plates and one count each of fraudulent use or removal of registration plate, and driving while his operating privileges were suspended.He was charged by Trooper Melissa A. Kyper with eight counts of burglary of hunting cabins in Penny Lane area in East Brunswick Townshnip, five counts each of criminal conspiracy and criminay trespass by breaking into the buildings, six counts of theft of moveable property, and five counts of criminal mischief to properties.Robert J. Stackhouse, 31, of 22 E. Union St., Tamaqua, charged by Rush Sgt. Duane Frederick, with theft of leased property by obtaining furniture from Rent-A-Center, 45 Plaza Drive, Hometown, and failed to make rental payments or return the property.Rachel D. Nisen, 19, of 306 W. Kline Ave., Lansford, charged by Rush Sgt. Duane Frederick, with theft of another employee's credit card at Turkey Hill Mini Mart, Hometown.Michelle Kondash, 28, of 510 E. Blaine St., McAdoo, charged by Kline Township Chief John Petrilla, with retail theft from Boyer's Market.Michael Barry, 54. of 57 Deer Trail Lane, Nesquehoning, charged by Rush Patrolman Adam Sinton, with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol on Hauto Highway.Robert J. Roman, 70, of 19 Zellner Road, Tamaqua, charged by McAdoo Patrolman William Curilla, with DUI of alcohol and unlawful activities by permitting another person to operate his vehicle who is not equipped to drive under state department regulations.Dana Marie Lambides, 27, of 71 Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, Lehighton, formerly of Summit Hill, charged by Rush Sgt. Duane Frederick, with theft of leased property from Rent-A-Center, Hometown, by renting a computer and video products and failed to make payments.Charlene F. Wofford, 34, of 36 S. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, charged by McAdoo Patrolman William Michael Curilla, with DUI of alcohol, and failing to activate turning signals when required.Anthony Silos Hosier, 32, of 173 Ridge St., Apt. 7, Lansford, charged by Mahanoy City Officer Jonathan McHugh, with possession of a controlled substance (CS), and drug paraphernalia in 1000 hundred block on E. Center St.Kim Karen Leary, 47, of 19 Main St., Apt. A, Middleport, charged by Trooper Michael D. Marinchak with DUI of drugs when stopped on SR209 in Walker Township, driving while operating privileges were suspended, and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic.Robert Daivd Price, 37, of 205 N. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, charged by Kline Chief Anthony Petrilla, with theft by deception and giving an unsworn false statement to authority by failing to report earnings while collecting unemployment compensation benefits totaling $31,040.Keshon Lamar Canyon, 21, Shenandoah, charged by Shenandoah Capt. George Carado, with criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with deadly weapon, possessing firearms not to be carried without a license, possession of an instrument of crime by concealment, and two counts each of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person by fireing two to three shots in the 200 block on East Centre Street in direction of another person.Matthew P. McTiernan, 25, Frackville, charged by Shenandoah Patrolman Michael Joseph O"Neill, with DUI of alcohol, and failiing to drive on roadway laned for traffic.Hipolito Rivera, 41. Schuylkill Haven, charged by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman David T. George, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Thomas Joseph Matukiewicz, 34, Orwigsburg, charged by Orwigsburg Patrolman Matthew J. Fogarty, with DUI of alcohol, and two stop sign violations.Timothy Scott Swain, 31, Schuylkill Haven, charged by Trooper Troy S. Greenawald with delivery of a CS, possession with intent to deliver, crinminal conspiracy, criminal use of cell phone, and possession in Schuylkill Haven and West Brunswick Township.Dana Ruth Southam, 30, Leesport, Berks County, charged by Trooper Greednawald with possession in Auburn.Joseph Michael Evans, 46, Orwigsburg, charged by Trooper John B. Carr with DUI of alcohol on Ridge Road, North Manheim Township, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, failing to drive at safe speed, careless driving, and failing to wear seat belt.David Michael Metz, 47, Summit Station, charged by Trooper Greenawald with possession in Auburn.Kelly Jeane Dixon, 35, Clearfield, Butler County, charged by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman William I. Horn, with theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property by taking $1,356.62 from a cash register while employed at Boyer's Market.Justin William Kline, 23, Pottsville, charged by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph J. Krammes, with possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness, and two counts of criminal mischief by puncturing tires on car of Tanya Marie Hinkle, in 500 block of E. Welsh with three counts each of corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to minors.Steven Eric Melsom, 44, Shenandoah, charged by Patrolman Michael O'Neill, Shenandoah Police, with terroristic threats against John Gedney, a neighbor, and disorderly conduct.Jamie Lee Gerber, 27, Pine Grove, charged by Trooper John B.Carr with DUI of alcohol, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, and failing to drive at safe speed.Beau Curtis Natale, 19, Pine Grove, charged by Pine Grove Cpl.
