Personnel moves made in Carbon

Carbon County commissioners on Thursday approved the following personnel actions:

*Employee separation: Corrections Officer Nicole Cress, Palmerton, effective May 15;*Resignation: Gerard J. Donati, Jim Thorpe, Seasonal Park Ranger II, effective May 10;*Change of status: David E. Rogers, Long Pond, from part-time corrections officer to corrections officer, effective May 27;Hires: Katelyn Collevechio, Summit Hill, as park attendant, effective May 20; Brandon Gurka, Summit Hill, as part-time seasonal park maintenance, effective May 20;Also hired were Gina M. Heintzelman, Summit Hill; Brittany B. Holland, Jim Thorpe; Danielle N. Juracka, Jim Thorpe; Kendall J. Juracka, Jim Thorpe; Dacin I. Kemmerer, Lehighton; and Paige L. Kosica, Tuscarora, as life guards, parks, effective May 25.Also hired was Stephany A. Rehrig, Lansford, as a part-time dispatcher/trainee at the county communications center, effective May 20.Also on Thursday, commissioners approved seminar and training requests:*Area Agency on Aging: Cheri Santore to the P4 Annual Membership meeting in Mt. Pocono at a cost of $120 conference fee, plus mileage and meals; Susan Zeigler to Service Coordination Training at Scranton, at a cost of mileage; Cheri Santore and Elizabeth Esrang to Service Coordination Training at King of Prussia, at a cost of mileage.*Clerk of Courts: Julie D. Harris to the 67th Annual Pennsylvania State Association of Prothonotaries and Clerk of Courts Conference in Pittsburgh/Southpointe, at a cost of $375 conference fee;*Emergency management agency: Thomas Newman to the Annual CERT Summit in Harrisburg;*Veterans affairs: Henry Desrosiers to the 2013 Pennsylvania State Association County Directors of Veterans Affairs Conference, Tannersville, at a $150 conference fee, cost plus lodging and meals.
