Olympic Fun Day held at Tamaqua Elementary

About 700 children from both the Rush and Tamaqua elementary schools came together with teachers, staff and family members to hold their annual Olympic Fun Day at the Tamaqua Elementary School recently.

The event consisted of many activities, such as tug of war, bounce house, giant noodle throw, hoop race, pizza box race, sac race, corn game, jai alai toss, water balloon toss, giant ring toss, football throw, DJ limbo, scooter race, frisbee disus, obstacle course and others. Organizers stated their appreciation to the Tamaqua PTO, school, staff, Tamaqua National Honor Society, High School Student Council, Tamaqua Area School District for their support. Family members were also encouraged to attend the event, as well as cheer them on and enjoy lunch with them under a large outdoor tent.
