A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12, along Frable Road, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Lehighton said Cynthia Bilal, 28, of Brodheadsville, was stopped for a traffic violation. She was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI after showing signs of impairment, troopers said. She was taken to the county DUI center where she submitted to a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers added.
