An attempted break-in at a Schuylkill County business was foiled by state police at Schuylkill Haven. The incident occurred about 12:47 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, at the Hawk Valley General Store, located at 16 Summer Valley Rd., in Orwigsburg.

Troopers said three white males attempted force entry to the front door of the store using a 15-inch pry bar. They were interrupted when troopers arrived. The three then fled on foot.Damages were noted to the doublewide doors. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570)-739-1330.
