Two cited for thefts in Tamaqua

Tamaqua police recently cited two men for retail theft incidents at Boyer's Food Market on Cedar Street.

On April 19, Jeremy Earl Plasko, 35, of 301 W. Broad St., reportedly placed three cans of infant formula into his back pack and left the store without making payment for them. Each can was valued at $14.87. The incident was recorded on the store's surveillance cameras.David Miller Jr., 24, of 65 Sunny Dr., MaryD, was stopped by store personnel at 4:10 p.m. on April 10. Police were contacted and found two bags of chips in the pockets of Miller's jacket, as well as several other unpaid items in his pants pocket. The total value was determined to be $12.56.Both men were issued citations for retail theft.
