Free car seat checks will be offered on Monday, May 20 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Palmerton Ambulance building, located at 501 Delaware Ave. in Palmerton.

The checks will be done by a Safety Specialist from the Pennsylvania State Police.Those interested in attending should bring their child in the car seat, and also bring any questions they have about proper car seats usage.Previous car seat safety checks have shown that four out of five car seats are used incorrectly.The car seat checks are sponsored by Carbon County Safe Kids, Pennsylvania State Police, and Palmerton Ambulance.
