Casting call

The Tamaqua Community Theatre will be presenting the play "God of Carnage," written by Yasmina Reza. Open casting calls will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center, 125 Pine St. Roles are available for actors/actresses between the ages of 18 and 45.The play will then be presented on June 21, 22 and 23 at the arts center.For more information, contact Zane Bachert at (570) 590-7621.Dog licensesSchuylkill County treasurer Jackie McGovern reminds residents that all dogs 3 months of age or older must be licensed by law. Dog licenses for 2013 are still available and may be obtained at the county courthouse in Pottsville, by mail, online at

Cheryl Moore will officiate at the 9 a.m. worship services Sunday in St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville. The service will include a Joyous Noise Offering.
