Theft at cemetery being probed

State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft incident at a Carbon County cemetery. Troopers also reported on two acts of criminal mischief.

The theft occurred at the Lower Towamensing Township cemetery located along Fireline Road at Third Street, Palmerton. Troopers said four bronze flower vases were removed from memorials in the cemetery. The theft occurred sometime between April 30 and May 7.Ronald Roberts, 45, of 226 Evergreen Court, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported three vehicles he owns were damaged while parked at his residence. The incident occurred sometime between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. on May 4.Troopers said on Monday, May 6, they responded to 381 Silfies Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County. On scene troopers determined someone drove a vehicle through a field at that location causing damages. The listed victim is Jason Green, 42, of Effort.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
