May 8, 1959 Roy Semmel wins three events to help Lehighton secure a 72 -31 track win over Hazleton. Semmel captures the high jump, pole vault and shot put while taking second in the javelin. The Indians also receive a pair of firsts from Ron Elsasser in the 100 and broad jump. Others winning events for the Tribe include Dave Reppert (440), Joe Bablavy (880), Marvin Eidem (mile) and Dick Haberman (discus).
