He has also featured his work with local newspaper "readers' photos". In addition, Traupman has had entry into a South Bethlehem Historical contest with subsequent selection and hanging in the Banana Factor in Bethlehem.Traupman has been given honors and awards for some of his works. Some of which include placing second and third place in a Kodak Photography contest done in the 1990's under the York Newspaper Company, selected for inclusing in "Tomorrow's Memories" in 1998 under the International Library of Photography, received the Readers Publication Award in 1998 via the Allentown Morning Call, was selected for exhibit at the Banana Factory in 2004 under the South Bethlehem Historical Preservation Society, placed second in 2006 and third place in 2007 at the Gallery in the Park in Sellersville, placed best of show in 2007 and second place in 2006 via the Carbon County Art League, receiving honorable mention in 2006 and third place in 2007 at the Art in the Park in Allentown, receiving first place in 2007 from the Gallery of the Arts in Sellersville and earning second place in 2007 from Art Across America in Columbia, New Jersey. His works have also been on display at various venues through our area and the tri-state area."The fact that another person can appreciate the beauty or concept that I saw in choosing a pictured is very meaningful to me," said Traupman.
