The Palmerton High School boys' basketball team has a new coach.

By a 7-0 margin, with one abstention, the school board agreed at a special meeting on Tuesday to approve Mr. Leigh Keenan as head coach for the 2013-14 school year, pending contract negotiations.Director Barry Scherer abstained from the vote. Director Joshua Smale was absent.No further information on Keenan was available in time for today's publication.
