Break-ins probed

State police at Lehighton reported on two burglaries probed by troopers.

The residence of Paul Murray Steckel, 57, of 608 Steckel Lane, Polk Township, Monroe County, was entered by forcing a side window. Removed from the home was a World War I vintage double-barrel shotgun. The incident occurred sometime between November 2012 and April.A home at 123 Eagle Drive, Polk Township, was entered by unknown means. However, nothing was taken or no damages observed. The home is owned by Nationstar Mortgage company of Lewisville, Tex. The incident was reported on May 2 at 8 p.m.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
