A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said George Huss Jr., 76, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2008 Cadillac STS southbound on SR183 at Sweet Arrow Lake Road, in North Manheim Township, when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road.The car struck a guide rail, then traveled southwest and struck a tree, where it came to rest. Troopers indicated that Huss was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment.Troopers also said he showed signs of intoxication and submitted to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers added.
