One Monroe County resident has been jailed for stabbing his brother in a dispute. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 1:29 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, in the parking lot of the Mount Pocono Plaza.

Police said they were dispatched to the scene of a report of a fight in a vehicle. While responding police were told one of the persons involved had left the scene in a vehicle headed toward Pocono Summit and the other went into a store.On scene officers were given the registration plate of the vehicle involved. Police also made contact with the victim, not identified by police, who said he was with his brother and while fighting his brother pulled out a knife and stabbed him while they were in his vehicle.The suspected was found and identified as Salvatore Farace, 45, of Pocono Summit. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated and simple assault, and harassment. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
