State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 7:24 p.m. on April 23 along SR903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, in which another driver is being sought for causing the crash.

Troopers said Ashton M. Hormuth, 21, of Cresco, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Sonata northbound when a black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) made a left turn from Danner Road onto 903 southbound in front of Hormuth. She applied her brakes to avoid the other vehicle and lost control.The Sonata traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree sending it into a spin. The Sonata then struck another tree with the rear end where it came to rest.Hormuth sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by Lehighton ambulance personnel. Also assisting at the scene were Penn Forest Fire Company volunteers.The Sonata had to be towed from the scene. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
