A Tamaqua man was cited following a domestic incident in the borough on April 3.

Patrolman Karl Harig was dispatched to 302 Mahanoy St. at 6:16 p.m. where he was met by the victim, who stated she had been punched in the face by Clarence E. McGeehan, 53, same address. McGeehan said he had been arguing with the woman, who had a visibly swollen eye, but denied punching her, stating he had just pushed her into a wall.McGeehan was arrested and arraigned before duty District Judge Carol Pankake, Tremont, on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $5,000 unsecured.
