Summit Hill man cited in Tamaqua

A Summit Hill man has been charged after an incident in Tamaqua on April 5.

At 8:13 p.m. Patrolman Joseph Krebs was dispatched to 128 Center St. for a reported threat incident. On scene he spoke with a woman who said she had been threatened by an exboyfriend, Jeremy Liggitt, 23, of 137 E. White St.According to the report, Liggitt had approached the victim and told her he had left a present for her on her car. When the vehicle was checked, there was a white, crumpled paper under the windshield. Nestled in the paper was a .45 caliber bullet.Liggitt also reportedly showed the victim and two witnesses a handgun he had tucked in the back of his pants.He was charged with making terroristic threats and harassment.
