Lehigh Township police in Northampton County announced that it will be unveiling a new unwanted prescription drop off box. Police also reported on a drug take-back day.
The drop off box will be located at the police department lobby. Persons can drop off unwanted prescription pills Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The box is being funded, in part, by Bechtel's Pharmacy to give the community a place to safety dispose of unwanted or expired prescription medications.Police also said National Drug Take-Back Day will be held on Saturday, April 27. The township police will participate in the program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The drop off location will be the parking lot of the Lehigh Township Fire Company located at Lehigh and Blue Mountain drives, in Cherryville.
