A Coaldale man was one of four defendants who had their paroles revoked after receiving hearings in Schuylkill County court.

Alexis Goldberg, 22, of 112 W. Phillip St., had his parole revoked by Judge Charles M. Miller and he was re-sentenced on a charge of theft by unlawful taking of jewelry and personal property belonging to Denise Tobin, of 258 W. Howard Avenue, Coaldale, to serve the balance of his sentence. The maximum date for his release from the county prison will be May 7. He had pleaded guilty to the charges and served 23 days in prison and then was placed on parole.Dean Loren Elliot, 53, Schuylkill Haven, had his parole revoked by Miller and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of is sentence and is not eligible for re-parole until Sept. 1. The court also ordered Elliot must be evaluated for dual diagnosis treatments and shall successfully complete either in-patient or out-patient treatment when he is re-paroled.Elliott had entered a guilty plea to receiving stolen property consisting of scrap aluminum cans taken from the boy scouts drop off center in Schuylkill Haven and after serving one month in prison was released on parole.Benjamin Lee Neidlinger, 20, Schuylkill Haven R.D., had his parole revoked by Miller and he was re-sentenced to serve three to 12 months in the county prison. He had pleaded guilty to theft from Sammi's Mobile Home Park in Schuylkill Haven.Bryan Andrew Defour, 24, Schuylkill Haven, had his parole revoked by President Judge William E. Baldwin and he was re-sentenced to serve four to 23 months in the county prison. He had pleaded guilty for receiving stolen property and was placed on parole.Guilty pleaJohn Stapinski, 43, Bethlehem, entered a guilty plea to simple assault and was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve 12 months on probation, pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, a $50 monthly supervision fee, and make restitution of $8,652.27 to Theodore Stang, Sr., of Gilberton.On the summary charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic and careless driving he was fined $25 each plus $100 in costs.He was cited by Trooper Scott Grochowski who filed to court that last August Stapinski stopped his vehicle by Stang who was walking and when Stang came to his car he grabbed his arm and drove off dragging Stang a distance of 40 to 50 feet. Stang had to to be treated in a hospital for injuries suffered.
