Carbon business cited by PLCB

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Wheel Restaurant, LLC, 107 Broadway, Jim Thorpe, was cited for two violations. The violations include failure to return the restaurant liquor license and wholesale liquor purchase permit cards to the board after the licensed establishment had not been in operation for a period of 15 consecutive days between Jan. 9-23.Also, on Feb. 11, failed to have the board approved manager complete Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) training within 180 days of the board's approval of the appointment.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses, and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
