A vehicle stop along a Schuylkill County road led to charges pending against the driver.

State police at Frackville said Magdalano Bazan, 40, of West Hazleton, was stopped about 12:47 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, in the 300 block of S. Kennedy Drive, in McAdoo, for a traffic violation.At the stop Bazan provided troopers with a fraudulent state identification card. His identity was unable to be verified so troopers took him into custody and transported him to the barracks.At the barracks he was fingerprinted and his identity was learned. It was also learned that Bazan was from Mexico and in the country illegally. Immigration Services were contacted about detaining Bazan for possible deportation, but they declined, troopers said.Bazan was then released from custody. He will be charged with unsworn falsification to authorities and related counts, troopers added.
