DUI arrests

State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers recently.

On April 11 troopers said Jeffrey Strohl, 26, of Weissport, was stopped about 10:37 p.m. along Bridge St. at the entrance to Canal Park, Weissport. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. The DUI has been filed, troopers said.On Saturday, April 13, about 1:56 a.m. Stephanie Ann Leibenguth, 40, of Slatington, was stopped for a vehicle code violation along SR248 eastbound at SR209 in Franklin Township, Carbon County. She was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest. Charges will be filed, troopers said.Also on Saturday, about 10:40 p.m., Scott Albert, 18, of Ashfield, was stopped for speeding, going 70 miles-per-hour in a 45 zone, along SR209 at the Bagle Bunch, in Mahoning Township, Carbon County. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. Charges are to be filed, troopers added.Gary Lee Hill, 59, of Saylorsburg, was arrested after he was involved in a crash about 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, along Old Route 115, north of Mt. Eaton Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Hill was southbound when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.He was not injured but his vehicle had to be towed from the scene. He was found to be under the influence and was transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending, troopers said.At 2:10 a.m. on Sunday troopers stopped Holly B. Wortman, 49, of Bartonsville, along SR715, near Idlewood Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. She was transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers noted.At 2:18 a.m. Sunday Robert Rimbey, 58, of Blakeslee, was stopped along Bridge St., at SR209, in Lehighton, for traffic violations. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. Charges will be filed, troopers added.At 10:43 p.m. on Sunday Michael Graziano, 33, of Jim Thorpe, was stopped at Bridge St., and SR209, in Lehighton, for making an illegal U-turn. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. Charges will be filed, troopers said.
